Modell's to be Official Equipment Donor for Access Sports Wiffle Ball Tourney
The 1st Annual Access Sports Wiffle Ball Classic will be held Saturday, September 18 from 9:00am till noon at Campbell’s Field—home of the Camden Riversharks.
Modell's Sporting Goods has signed on to be the official equipment sponsor, agreeing to donate all of the bats and balls and bases.
Mr.Derrick Morgan, Modell's Sporting Goods Regional Marketing Manager & Community Ambassador, agreed to donate equipment after talking with Access Sports Special Events Intern, Antonio Crincoli (Temple '12).
"When I explained to Mr. Morgan what Access Sports does, which is provide people with disabilities and at-risk youth with tickets to professional sporting events and sports clinics, he happily agreed to help us out." Said Crincoli.
Along with the joy of getting to spend the morning playing for wiffle ball bragging rights on the perfectly manicured field, teams—and their supporters—will enjoy raffle prizes and photo opportunities and entertainment with Riversharks mascot Finley, the Phillies Ball Girls, and the 102.9 WMGK promotional crew.
Registration for the Access Sports Wiffle Ball Classic is $300 per team of 6 and includes t-shirts, parking and 12 tickets to the 5:35pm Riversharks/Newark Bears game. There will be fireworks after the game
