The first YPC Fundraiser ever for Access Sports!

The Young Professional Committee (YPC) was recently created to support the mission and vision of Access Sports. The YPC is a small group of working individuals who dedicate their time and energy to make a difference for disadvantaged children or adults living with a disability.
The first fundraiser was held on October 18th at The Irish Pub located on 12th and Walnut in Philadelphia. It was held in a private room on the upper floor of The Irish Pub, a combination of a Dublin saloon and an all-American neighborhood bar. The YPC publicized and marketed this event by word of mouth. Upon arrival, each guest was given a ticket for the raffle table and had opportunities to purchase additional tickets. It was important for the YPC to advocate and educate others about Access Sports so they also included an information table about the organization and a simple questionnaire, which guests were encouraged to complete. During this event, guests had complimentary finger foods and discounted drink specials to enjoy in a lively, social atmosphere. The raffle prizes were announced at the end of the fundraiser with the name of each winner stated aloud followed by applause from the crowd. The prizes on the raffle table included a Kixx soccer ball signed by the whole team, Temple football tickets, a massage gift certificate, and much more. All of the items were generously donated from various organizations/sponsors for Access Sports. Overall, this three-hour event had a good turnout for the YPC with funds that exceeded their fundraising goal.
It took dedication, time, and effective communication among YPC members to make this first fundraiser successful. This marks the beginning of more to come! Let us know if you would like to join in the fun!
THANK YOU to the YPC and THANK YOU to The Irish Pub!!!
