Access Sports throws out a First Pitch at the Wilmington Blue Rocks game!
On 8/20/08 Access Sports witnessed history! Lisa Filipczak, an individual supported through RecCare, Inc and our very own board member, Dr. Susanne Lesnik-Emas threw out a FIRST PITCH at the Wilmington Blue Rocks game! Eager to provide encouragement, Lisa’s parents came from Bridesburg, PA to watch. In addition, Dr. Lynda Mitchell, the founder and President of RecCare, Inc. was there to capture the moment on video. Lisa was cheered on by RecCare staff and clients as well as Access Sports’ board member, Pam Warner. Alyson Harris, the founder of Access Sports, was cheering the loudest for Lisa! When Lisa is not being recruited by baseball scouts, she also finds time to volunteer for Access Sports.
A huge thank you to Chris Kemple, the General Manager of the Blue Rocks! He is an Honorary Board Member for Access Sports and a true advocate for individuals with special needs. Since 2002, Chris has helped Access Sports “FILL SEATS and FUFILL DREAMS!”
